Went to a writing workshop today in Newcastle city library, put on by the Writing Squad. Have I mentioned them before? I should have done, I owe them a lot. In a nutshell, they’re a support network for young writers in the north east of England, with great one-to-one sessions, workshops, etc. This is them: http://www.writingsquad.com
This particular workshop was run by a novelist called Jenn Ashworth. This is her: http://www.jennashworth.co.uk
It was a prose workshop and we looked at different points of view, what the rules are and all the interesting ways you can break them. That’s what the next post are going to be about: the product of that workshop. Stay tuned for slightly odd prose!
